Hello
I'm Áine (pronounced Awn-ya)
I'm a Neurocognitive Leadership and Inclusive Culture Consultant. I specialise in the application of psychology and neuroscience to professional development and organisational strategy.
As a writer, speaker, facilitator and consultant, I work with organisations to help their people understand how their brains work, not as abstract theory, but as practical insight they can apply in the moments that matter.
My approach centres on a simple truth: when people understand the why behind their mental patterns, they can meet themselves with compassion rather than judgement. That self-compassion becomes the foundation for everything else, from empathy, to resilience, intentional decision-making, and genuine connection.
I deliver this work through my own consultancy and through key partnerships.
This is about lifting hearts and minds, for people to have better days.
My Story
I have a BSc in Psychology from Dublin City University and an MSc in the Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King's College London. I'm also an accredited practitioner in Facet 5 personality profiling.
My career started in neuropsychology, working as a technician in a start-up where I supported both clinical clients and peak performers through brain training programmes designed to encourage behavioural change. It was here that my love of neuroscience was ignited and the first spark of interest in neurodiversity.
I then made the jump to the corporate world, joining the People Operations EMEA team at Meta (then Facebook). While my role focused on the employee experience, I got deeply involved in company culture through the Employee Resource Group communities, particularly the Differently-Abled ERG, where I became Co-Lead. With disability, mental health and neurodiversity as the group's core pillars, this work fuelled my passion for mental wellbeing, neuroinclusion, and the role that self-awareness plays in driving inclusive cultures.
Today I run my own consultancy based in Ireland and work with organisations globally. I also have two key partnerships, one with New Inclusion where we focus on all thing DEI, and Uptimize where we focus specifically on Neurodiversity and Cognitive Inclusion. My work spans facilitation, content development, training delivery, and strategic consulting. I've had the privilege of working with clients across industries, including professional services, technology, fashion, media, finance, healthcare and the public sector.
What ties it all together is a simple philosophy, that self-awareness and mental wellbeing are foundational. When people understand how their own minds work, they can meet themselves with compassion rather than judgement. That self-compassion ripples outward into better relationships, more intentional leadership, and cultures where people can genuinely thrive.
